Join us for a full day workshop exploring the powerful computational tools and data resources available through RAPID, SimCenter, and DesignSafe. This event is an excellent opportunity for faculty and researchers in natural hazards engineering to enhance their workflows, streamline data management, and accelerate their research using NSF-supported resources.

Through live demonstrations, interactive Q&A sessions, and expert guidance, attendees will gain practical experience in:

  • Building end-to-end computational pipelines that seamlessly connect DesignSafe's data ecosystem with TACC HPC resources,
  • Scaling AI and machine learning workflows on TACC's HPC systems (Stampede3, Lonestar6, Vista) using DesignSafe's Jupyter environment,
  • Running regional simulations with SimCenter applications,
  • Leverage advanced UQ methods \ to account for complex modeling uncertainties,
  • Customizing SimCenter workflows to meet specific research needs, and
  • State-of-the-art street view data collection techniques, post-processing methods, and machine learning tools for extracting valuable information from street-level imagery.

The workshop will feature presentations from DesignSafe, SimCenter, and RAPID staff, along with opportunities to connect with fellow researchers and discuss best practices for using these advanced tools. Whether you're new to these NHERI resources or looking to expand your available tools, this event will offer valuable insights into leveraging computational resources for current and future research.
