The 2025 NHERI Computational Symposium Organizing Committee is excited to announce that Dr. Forrest Masters and Dr. Rick Luettich will be joining us as keynote speakers at the Third Annual NHERI Computational Symposium on February 5-7, 2025, at UCLA.
Dr. Forrest Masters, Interim Dean of the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida, is a leading expert in extreme wind engineering and hurricane impacts. His groundbreaking research has significantly improved the understanding of structural resilience during natural disasters.
Dr. Rick Luettich, Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina and Director of both the UNC Institute of Marine Sciences and UNC Center for Natural Hazards Resilience, is a renowned leader in coastal and ocean modeling. His contributions to storm surge prediction, real-time forecasting, and coastal hazard mitigation have been instrumental in protecting vulnerable communities.
Join us in welcoming our two distinguished speakers as they share their expertise in natural hazards research and computational modeling. We look forward to their insights on "Taking Next Steps Together" toward reducing risks from natural hazards. More information about the Symposium schedule and early-bird registration is on the event webpage at https://simcenter.designsafe-ci.org/nheri-computational-symposium/2025/.
