Research to Impact

The NHERI Computational Modeling and Simulation Center (SimCenter) invites you to join us for the second annual NHERI Computational Symposium. This event will provide you the opportunity to exchange ideas, recent work, and broader impacts with your colleagues in the natural hazards research community. The Symposium will focus on sharing and discussing the results of recent research efforts and industry applications that employed computational modeling and simulation to understand and reduce natural hazard risk. This unique event will cultivate community through networking opportunities that include students, researchers, and practitioners.

The Symposium will be a two day event starting on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Luskin Center at UCLA. The first day will include plenary presentations, focused technical sessions with dedicated discussions, and an informative poster session/early evening reception. The second day, Friday, February 2, will included focused technical sessions as well as time for community discussions focused on NHERI themed interests. Following the Symposium’s conclusion at noon, small group support will be available with development team members to help accelerate your work. These sessions will be held at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering near the Luskin Center.
